CalcCards

Privacy Policy

Effective 2026-05-04

Calc.Cards is a free online calculator site operated by Wilcoe. This policy explains what information the site collects, how it's used, and the choices available to you. We designed Calc.Cards to work without accounts and without server-side personal-data storage for casual visitors. The honest summary: we collect very little, and most of what runs on the site stays in your browser.

Information we collect

Calculator inputs and results

The numbers you type into a calculator are processed entirely in your browser. We do not send those values to our servers. If you click "Save scenario," your saved set is stored locally on your device using browser localStorage and remains on that device until you clear it.

Lead-capture forms

When you submit an email through one of these flows, the email and any text you provide are recorded so we can fulfill the request:

  • "Try one skill free" on calculator and marketplace pages
  • The branded-calculator order form (/branded-calculators)
  • The custom-build brief form (/custom-calculators)
  • The calculator-request form in the header
  • "Email me my saved scenarios" on /saved

Submissions are forwarded to our team via email and may be relayed to a workflow tool (Zapier or similar) for fulfillment. We use these emails to deliver what you asked for and to follow up about your order.

Purchases

Stripe processes all payments. We do not see, store, or transmit your card number, CVV, or banking details. Stripe sends us your name, email, and billing country so we can issue a receipt and deliver your order.

Recommender queries

When you use /recommend, the search phrase is processed in real time. If we have an AI-rerank step configured, the phrase may be sent to Anthropic for ranking. Neither we nor Anthropic retain it for training.

Automatic technical data

Like every website, our hosting provider (Vercel) logs IP addresses, request paths, response codes, and similar request metadata. This data is used for operational purposes such as preventing abuse and diagnosing outages.

Cookies and similar technologies

The site itself uses localStorage for two things: remembering your light/dark/system theme choice, and saving up to 50 calculator scenarios on your device. Neither leaves your browser.

When third-party services are enabled, they may set their own cookies or pixels:

  • Google AdSense places cookies to serve and measure advertising on the site
  • Google Analytics or Plausible may record aggregate page-view data
  • Google Tag Manager, when enabled, can load any of the above
  • Stripe uses cookies during checkout to prevent fraud

You can opt out of personalized advertising via Google's Ad Settings or aboutads.info. Browser extensions like uBlock Origin and Privacy Badger can also block these cookies.

Third-party services we use

  • Vercel — hosting, deployment, request logs
  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Resend — transactional email (order receipts, lead notifications)
  • Anthropic — AI rerank for the recommender feature, when configured
  • Google AdSense — advertising, when configured
  • Google Analytics or Plausible — site analytics, when configured

Each of these vendors processes data under their own privacy policies. We share with them only what is necessary to provide their service.

Advertising

When advertising is enabled, Calc.Cards uses Google AdSense to serve ads. Google may use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to show ads based on your prior visits to this and other sites. Google's use of advertising cookies is described in its advertising policies.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Request a copy of personal information we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct or delete it
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority

The fastest way to exercise any of these rights is to email hello@calc.cards from the address on record.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please email hello@calc.cards and we will delete it.

International transfers

Calc.Cards is operated from the United States. Our hosting and most of our service providers are also based in the US. If you access the site from outside the US, your information may be transferred to and processed in the US.

Changes to this policy

When we make material changes, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes take effect indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
